Iñaqui Carnicero is a Spanish architect, winner of the Golden Lion at this year's Venice Biennale.

Born in 1973 in Madrid; obtained a degree in architecture from the School of Architecture, Polytechnic University of Madrid in 1988. From 2000 to 2011 associate professor of design at the School of Architecture, Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 2011 completed his PhD thesis titled Louis Kahn vs Robert VenturiLearning from the scale of Rome. Currently guest professor at Cornell University. This versatile architect basis his perception of architecture on three concepts –construction, research, and teaching – and successfully applies them in his work, which is confirmed by numerous awards he has received. Winner of the Golden Lion at this year's Venice Biennale
