In Austria, as well as other countries, new pedagogical concepts are having more and more impact on teaching models and this means abandoning the traditional frontal teaching and homeroom concept as well as stimulating individual and group work and a flexible timetable rhythm. These advanced models require new spatial anticipations. One thing is certain – although so far, realizations have represented only individual cases in the sense of pilot projects, awareness of this issue exists.
