The Bridge in the Context of Landscape

In the architecture of a city, the bridge has always represented a project of the greatest symbolic value. In this sense, it is comparable with the cathedral, opera house or museum in a city’s image. In the Renaissance, bridges expressed the most significant contents of a city’s architecture in the sphere of bridging a river.
