Like a clear sharp-edged crystal in front of the imposing background of the Nordkette mountain range stands new Eduard Wallnöfer center in Hall, Tyrol, designed by the architects Henke-Schreieck. This building, almost abstract in appearance, gives to the innovative scientific research center a pregnant Corporate Identity. The glass, behind rather widely separated sun-protection front elements, reflects the landscape, which thus remains always present even in the interior of the building. The building carefully follows the slope of the green hill, which extends from the entrance hall next to the road, over the glazed inner atrium and the students’ residence and a kindergarten (lying higher) further on in the landscape without any obstacle.
