Lecture by Architect Nader Tehrani

Architect Nader Tehrani will deliver a lecture, organized by Oris House of Architecture on Monday, 30 May 2016 at 7.30 pm at Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb.

Nader Tehrani graduated architecture from Harvard University in 1991. He is a co-founder of the architectural studio dA where he worked from 1986 to 2010. In 2011 he founded a studio NADAA. He is a visiting professor at numerous world-renowned faculties and a former Head of the Department of Architecture at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning where he worked from 2010 to 2014. From 2015, Tehrani is the Dean of the Cooper Union’s Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture. 

Working on interdisciplinary platforms, Nader Tehrani’s research has been focused on the transformation of the building industry, innovative material applications, and the development of new means and methods of construction– as exemplified in his work with digital fabrication. As the founding principal of office dA, Tehrani’s work received many prestigious awards, among which included the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Architecture, the American Academy of Arts and Letters Architecture Award, and sixteen Progressive Architecture Awards
