21/04/2015
The opening of the exhibition Ivica Plavec: Click Home will be held in Oris House of Architecture, on Friday, April 24th 2014 at 7 p.m. On that ocassion, Ivica Plavec will deliver a lecture about Croatian architecture built in wood.
The exhibition will be held from April 24th until April 29th. It will give us an insight into the works and ideas of the Croatian architect, show us his already accomplished works, like the family house Tribuson, and give us a preview of the project of simple, easily built and functional houses – Klik houses.
The Click Home project presents a quick and easy way of building wooden houses by the process of assembling prefabricated elements, which are simple and easy to manage, with a minimum amount of simple procedures. Maximum utilization of modular construction allows flexibility and functional rearrangement of the inner space, simple and fast adaptations or extensions without the use of machinery or a large workforce.
The owner can choose a house that fits their needs and preferences, from various options listed in the detailed survey – number of storeys, surface area, shape of the roof, façade, level of equipment, floor layout and spatial organization.
Ivica Plavec was born in 1963 in Sisak, Croatia. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 1988. Together with the architect Vladimir Kasun he founded the architectural office Studio Urbana in 1992. Since 2003/2004 he has been working as a part-time lecturer for the course Architectural design VI – VII at the Architectural Faculty of Zagreb University, since 2006 as a senior lecturer at Architectural structures and since 2010 as an assistant professor. In 2005 he opened his own practice Poligon – project for architecture and innovation.
