When, in the middle of last century, Finland was making efforts to establish itself as one of architecture’s epicentres, exhibitions entitled ‘Finland Builds’ were organized as part of this process. A unique feature of these exhibitions was the fact that they had the status of architectural exhibitions although not only buildings were exhibited, but also bridges, tunnels, road junctions and even boats.
