Boris Podrecca is an artist with several homelands. One of them is surely Slovenia; he carries it deeply in his heart like memories of his father, his school years in Trieste and friendship with the writer Marjan Rožanec. He had already made a number of designs for Slovenia, nevertheless, only rare among them lived to be realized; it is difficult to be a prophet in your own country. Podrecca brings to Slovenia that same Mediterranean spirit that his fellow Karst countryman Maks Fabiani brought in the past.
