The BUS:STOP project was completed
in 2012, when a group of people from
the town of Krumbach in the Austrian
region Bregenzerwald decided to replace
the existing bus shelters by engaging seven
world-known architects. Alexander Brodsky,
Rintala Eggertsson Architects, Architecten
de Vylder Vinck Taillieu, Ensamble Studio,
Smiljan Radic, Amateur Architecture
Studio/Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu
and Sou Fujimoto cooperated with local
architects and craftsmen and designed one
bus shelter respectively, in exchange for
a week's vacation in Bregenzerwald.
The travelling exhibition which documents the
process can be seen in the Oris House of Architecture
and the lectures of some of the architects who
participated in the project can be heard at
the BUS:STOP Days of Oris. |

FREE ADMISSION
The model of the bus stop designed by
Smiljan Radic in 1:1 scale will be exhibited
in front of the Oris House of Architecture
from 20 May until 1 November 2015.
