On Tuesday, 13 July 2021 at 6 PM, on Oris House of architecture YouTube channel, you can watch a lecture by a Pritzker Prize laureate Gottfried Böhm held at the Days of Oris symposium in 2010.
Born in Offenbach in 1920, son of Dominikus Böhm. Graduated in sculpture from the Creative Arts Academy in Munich in 1945. At the same time, he studied architecture at the Munich Technical College. Returned to Cologne and planned the reconstruction of the St. Kolumba Chapel, his first own building project. After the death of his father in 1955 he continued his architect's firm.
Winner of numerous awards, including the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1986.
He passed away this year in June.
