Days of Oris 15: Introducing the speakers - Janez Koželj

We are introducing the speakers of Days of Oris 15 which will be held on 17th and 18th October at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall.
Janez Koželj, Slovenian architect and planner of the urban development of Ljubljana for which he received many awards, Full Professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana.
Born in Ljubljana in 1945. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana in 1972, where he works as a full professor for urban design. Major built works: office/residential building in Poljanska Cesta, Ljubljana, 1998; Poljane gym, Ljubljana, 1991; urban block in Kotnikova Street, Ljubljana, 1992; group of houses in the residential area of Radegunderstrasse, Graz, 1998; commercial theme park Portoval, Novo Mesto (with J. Jaki), 2003; Črni Kal viaduct (with the constructor M. Pipenbaher), 2004. Has exhibited at numerous exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. Won the Plečnik Architectural Award in 1988 and the Piranesi Award in 1992, the DETAIL Magazine Award in 2005, and the Golden Pencil Award of the Chamber of Architects for his opus in 2005. Elected to Ljubljana City Council on the list of Zoran Janković in 2006 and named deputy mayor.
