We are introducing the speakers of Days of Oris 15 which will be held on 17th and 18th October at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall.

SPEECH, one of the leading architectural bureaus in Russia whose projects are notable for the conjunction of a modern architectural language and a considerate treatment of landscape and urban context.

Sergei Tchoban was born in St. Petersburg in 1962. From 1980–1986 he studies and graduates from the Ilya Repin Institute, Russian Academy of Arts, St. Petersburg. From 1986–1990 he works on projects as a graduate architect in Russia (since 1989 as a freelance architect). Since 1995 he is a partner of the nps tchoban voss Architekten BDA Hamburg, Berlin and Dresden, and the head of the Berlin branch. In 2006 he founded the architectural studio SPEECH Tchoban & Kuznetsov, Moscow. In 2009 he founded the Tchoban Foundation – Museum for Architectural Drawing, Berlin and in 2010 the ST Design Studio He is the holder of the following awards: the 2013 Best of Best Award of the Iconic Awards awarded by the German Design Council, Frankfurt, for the Museum for Architectural Drawing in Berlin; the 2012 Honourable Mention Award at the 13th Architecture Biennale in Venice for the exhibition i-city / i-land; the Architect of the Year at the 3rd Architecture Biennale in Moscow and the 17th Exhibition for Architecture and Design Arch Moskva in collaboration with Sergei Kuznetsov and SPEECH Tchoban & Kuznetsov.
