Exhibition: Nenad Fabijanić Images of Ivan (Giovanni)

Exhibition Images of Ivan (Giovanni) and the presentation of the accompanying publication of the same name will open on Tuesday, 15 May 2018, at 7 pm at Oris House of Architecture. Nenad Fabijanić is a distinguished professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, one of the most important Croatian architects, urbanists and theoreticians of design, as well as a student, friend and collaborator of prominent modernist architect Ivan Vitić.
The publication and the exhibition are a dialogue with Ivan Vitić, a creative interpretation or an artistic homage to several works from Ivan Vitić’s opus. The works in question include: Jadran Hotel (Šibenik), a building in Laginjina Street (Zagreb), Vitić’s skyscraper (Zagreb) and the Cube (Zagreb).
Nenad Fabijanić
He was born in Zagreb in 1951. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 1974. Since 1977 he has been working at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, and has been full professor at the Department of Architectural Design since 2000. He was President of the Zagreb Society of Architects from 1994 to 1996, and President of the Association of Croatian Architects from 1999 to 2003. He has been associate member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) since 2008. His designs and completed projects were awarded with professional, domestic and international awards and recognitions. He has been professionally active in urban planning and architecture, interior, design, and scenography. He organizes exhibitions in Croatia and abroad.
